A Warm February, Man, Woman, & Hound: An Engagement Session in Wabasha
The Third time
is the Charm they say, and after two reschedules due to the coldest weather of the year, We all finally made the appropriate time on last Sunday the 23rd. A morning in February. Weather and sun high. The clouds rolling through the air. The lovely couple, they were the ones I traveled miles to see. Above and below you can find their engagement photos. But these words that accompany are only additive. Just a Photographers journal.
Upon my arrival to jakes Fiedler’s family home in stunning Wabasha. I was greeted by Irene Elemos, Soon to be Feidler I suppose. I entered and waited. The plan was simple: Photographs down by the river with their plott hound, Nova. Change outfits and Walk the downtown streets. With no other people in sight we drove to the river. Photographs and conversation consisted of the normal interactions. We laughed and exchanged life happenings. I guided them in some posture and stance. Gave some direction. But for the most part these two were their natural selves. No Nervousness. When people are about each other and in love it shows and there aint to much I need to do other than keep my camera settings and angles tight.
Post river photographs consisted of downtown walking, dancing, and hand holding. the simple things that two lovely people such as Jake and Ira Might be inclined to enjoy.
Two things I always aim for in a couples engagement session: Are you enjoying each others company, and having fun. Second, are you reflected as such within the photographs. Anyone can have a good time. Is your photographer capturing the emotion and feeling of your bodies and smiles interacting together. Timeless photography is Alexander Schmitt’s Goal.
